I just finish my telephone call with a person that called me after he saw me blog and Facebook fan page and he was frustrated and was asking for advice.

First of all, I felt his pain as we have all gone through or are presently going through the pain of succeeding at home. He told me about all the programs and M.LMs he had been in and that he tried this and that. He mentioned a couple of Guru programs and the poor guy was frustrated at his next to zero results.

After a few minutes, I knew his problem and how to fix it…

I told him there are two things that matter more to your success then anything else.

B. Mindset

I advised him that we can always work on finding effective marketing and there are lots of ways to approach this to fit all budget levels. There is effective online and offline stuff.

Also, mindset is what was really holding him back. His attitude was not in the best place, he felt people had taken advantage of him and even though he was a nice guy…he had a “victim mentality”.  Read more...

It’s kind of funny to see the MLM guys in one corner and the Top Tier guy in another as to what is best. I have to tell you the truth; marketing is marketing and you just have to find something you like and then apply yourself.

School desks have developed over the last century and a half from the wood and metal antique ones that you some times see in museums to ones made of sleek steel tubing and laminated plastic. I experienced both types in my own schooling from a one room rural schoolhouse to a modern high school.

I recall early school desks made of ornate iron frames that supported roomy wooden tops. These desktops bore the carvings and graffiti of the schoolchildren who had sat in them. The writing surface had a convenient groove for pencils and to the right, a hole for an inkwell.

A storage shelf for books, and possessions was located beneath the desktop. Each unit was comprised of the table part, with a wooden bench and seat back attached in the front. They were designed so that one student sat on the bench seat, and worked at the desktop of the unit in front of it. Rows of these filled the classroom.

Designed and patented by Anna Breadin in the late 1880’s, this was actually quite an innovative concept in schoolroom furniture. Before it, most classrooms were filled with either rustic wood desks or long tables. Children sat either on chairs or long benches.
